Thank you for responding. My copy of Stephen Kirk's A THOUSAND TEXANS, MEN OF THE 9TH CAVALRY has red marks on almost every page; and yes, I see a reference to "personal papers of John Estill of the 33d Mississippi Inf." ..Yes, I would appreciate your sending a copy of the Estill papers.

1) His name is J[ames] W. Adams of [C.L.] DeMorse’s Regt [29th Cav., Co G, of Lamar County].

2) That two men named Allen of Red River County and Brawley [or Braly] near mouth of Bois d’arc [Creek and Red River] of this county [Fannin County] believing him to be friendly to their party told him they wished him to join them as soon as possible, that [H.] Boren and his men understood each other.
