Have you ever came across a map showing communication routes utilized by Confederate authorities to cross the Mississippi after the loss of Vicksburg and Port Hudson.

I have seen various written accounts but if there has never been a detailed study on the subject and a good map made there should be.

Tho difficult,we do know that the river was crossed fairly regularly at certain points till the end of the war. This would have been of great importance to the Trans-Mississippi.
