My wife's greatgrandfather, Richard S. (R.S.) Lyles, enlisted in the 10th Texas Cav. at Quitman, Texas in 1861, Col Lockes Regm't. and was Mustered in at "Toas, Texas" Sept 25 1861. Number of miles to rendesvous = 75. He was from Rusk Co., Texas.
