Re: 27th Cavalry - Whitfield's Legion

With the information at my website, Hatley's book on "The Legion" and Kirk's new book, "Line of Battle", you would know everything currently available on the 27th. Hatley's book is heavy "Whitfield". The Legion was one of the few units with 12 companies. Had General McCullogh survived Elk Horn Tavern the Legion would probably been a true legion with Infantry, Cavalry and Artillery. As it was it often fought as Infantry and Cavalry with attached artillery.
I find myself returning to the Legion often.
