Re: Capt. John W. Bone: Were there 2 of them?

Jack & Patti,
American Civil War Research Database shows 2 Capt, John W. Bone.

One in the 11th Tex Cav. & one in Bourland's Regmt.
No information on the one in 11th Tex Cav.
The one in Bourland's Regmt.was discharged,to form Capt. Bone's Company.
Uncomfirmed on this company but several independent companies were transfered to Terry's Regmt Tex Cav in late 1864 or early 1865.(Example is Capt Randolph's Co G And Capt DeWalt Independent Co. were tranfered from Border's Regmt.Tex Cav. to Terry's Regmt.Tex Cav.)
Jack you may check census for Bell and Coryell counties for residence after the war I know of 3 Bone's in CSA from Coryell County. A.J. 3rd Texas Cav, D.H 30th Tex Cav and J.H. in Texas 1st Heavy Artillery.
