Oddly enough, you hit upon my problem exactly. The former Association President for a small cemetery in Hunt County had told me there were "a whole bunch" of CSA (and one GAR) veterans buried there. However, the best she could do was given me a list of persons buried there and tell me the ones that are "supposed" to be vets. I'm dealing with a lot of different families...few direct descendants...and just trying to make sure that the gentleman buried there really is the man identified in military papers or pension applications.
Slightly off-topic (but something every researcher deals with)...where can I find a list (if it exists) of epidemics/diseases/disasters that might have gone through different areas? My family alone lost 4 (my great-great-grandmother and 3 children) in 8 months in 1885 Hunt County.
I really do appreciate all of the help/suggestions. This is one group I know I can count on!
Thanks!
