William Mangus was a younger brother of John. I'm not sure how to attach a file, so I'll just type John's obit.
JOHN MANGUS, LADOGA MAN, DEAD OF UREMIC POISONING.
Ladoga, Aug. 4, 1921--John Mangus died of uremic poisoning Wednesday morning at 5 o'clock at his home on East Taylor St. Born near Salem, Va., in Botetourt County, Sept. 18, 1837. Being 83 hears old at the time of death. He was married to Sarah Elizabeth Beamer Sept, 4, 1865.
He is survived by the wife and eight children, Floyd Mangus, Mona Huffman, Mary Lawrence, Mattie Jeffries, of this place, James and Ernest Mangus and Nora Stobaugh of Indianapolis and Thomas Mangus of Muncie. Also by twenty-four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He was a member of the Mount Pleasant Brethern Church, served in the Civil War as a Confederate soldier and was the only one of his company to answer to the roll call at the surrender of Lee to Grant.
