Enjoy reading all your threads on Staunton Hospital. I too wonder if the Hospital kept records during the war. I was just reading my gggrandfathers pension records, and he talks about being treated there, immediatly after the battle of Piedmont, June 5th 1864. Surprisingly, he was a private by the name of John Johnson, in the 18th Connecticut Vol. Infantry. After being treated there, he was carried off to Andersonville Prison. He survived the war, and his wounds and lived to age 71.
