I am also glad to have found this site. I am related, although not lineally to all the Stultzs in Company F. I have always assumed that my direct, lineal ancestor was either too young or two old for service, but the rest of the Stultzs were either nephew or brothers of my direct ancestor. Our family history has next to nothing in it about their service, other than to note on one or two of them that they were veterans.

John, I have your book; it was a gift from a close friend......I had a question about the color guard appointment. You note that eight from Co F were appointed to the color guard early on prior to Col. Burks taking command. Did they remain the color guard and how were they chosen?
