Re: 42nd Virginia relatives
In Response To: Re: 42nd Virginia relatives ()

My ggg grandfather was Captain Josiah Watson Hereford of Company F. I've been looking for information on him and his sons, Josiah W Jr and Martin A (my gg grandfather), all who served in the 42nd. I have a lot of the service information on them, but am looking for anything personal (like the letter about the color guard) or where any of them are buried. I know that Josiah Sr. was an inmate at the Lee Camp in Richmond and died there in the 1890's, but that's about it . Anything would be appreciated. Thanks.
