I have a J. Ellis listed on the roll of the Autauga Guards, Capt. T. L. Faulkner's Company / Danile Gray's Autauga County The First 100 Years 1818-1918.

The Autauga Guards organized into Blythe's Mississippi Battallion and many later transferred late in 1862 into the 24th Alabama Infantry.
