Sounds like a winner to me! Captain Thomas L. Faulkner's "Autauga Guards" served as Co. "G", Blythe's Mississippi Infantry Battalion. That unit may have enlisted at Autaugaville; I believe Barry has access to the original muster roll in one of his books.
Being able to to claim an ancestor who served in Blythe's Mississippi Battalion would be great -- that command fought Grant at Belmont KY and opened the battle of Shiloh.
