Thanks for the additional information about the Coxes in the 40th AL.
Do you happen to have any information about the 40th AL during the Battle of Atlanta. Our Greatgrandmother said that her Father, Jordan Perry Cox, was wounded in the Knee in Georgia, and had a limb the rest of his life.
Also do you have any information about another brother,
George W. Cox, Co. C, 40th AL - we only found a few microfilm pages in Atlanta indicating that he was discharged on a surgeons certificate in April of 1863. Very difficult documents to read?
