Re: Lt. Col. W. C. Bethune - 57th Alabama - Incide

Thanks for the info, Homer. I had his parents names, but not the other info. Dr. Bethune died June 4, 1881 in Abbeville. Do you have his burial location? He married Mary Eleanor Callaway, daughter of John Sanford Callaway, who died in Texas. Her grandparents were Joshua Sanford and Mary (Milner) Callaway and Thomas George and Mary Locie (Chambliss) Jordan.
Also in Co. D, 53rd Alabama, was John M. Bethune. He was 4th Sgt., and died 12/19/01. His widow applied for pension in Dale Co. Do you know where he is buried, and if he was a brother of Dr. Bethune?
