Dear Charles,

As the webmaster for the ALCWMB, I just wanted to say how happy I was to see your posting regarding your desire to improve your "impression" as a member of the 4th AL Cav. (Roddey's). It is my hope that other contributors to the site have helped with the information you're looking for, although I'm sure Roddey's is a tough unit to research for uniform documentation.

I would hope we will see more re-enactors on the ALCWMB to post their queries and act as resources for others researching the uniforms, equipment and the "feeling" of being a Civil War period combatant.
