Yeah like I said Inzer was an old man at the time of the interview. I'm not sure why he said the companies were assigned to those regiments. I guess his memory was fading. I do know that most of the men of the 9th battalion were placed in the 17th and 18th Alabama Regiments but as you said not as companies but placed as needed. Thanks for the info on Blount. I did not know he had records as a staff officer and records miscellaneous collection. As I said Inzer was not the only one to mention Blount's dismisal. I will find the other references and post them soon. Thanks again.
