Company I was located at Camp Rodes, Virginia at the end of October, 1864, there are no subsequent muster rolls in the records, hence, we are unable to track soldiers who enlisted after this time.

I believe Company I was raised by men from Wilcox county.

It was not unusual for men to enlist at places under than their place of residence, usually more populous locations. Milton, Florida does not appear to be out of the question and a transshipment hub.

Once enlisted, he would be shipped to wherever his unit was located.

This fellow is listed as knowledgeable of the 6th. Do not know how old this listing is.
