Re: 6th Ala Cavalry Regiment, Co. I

You are right, very confusing. The 1907 census info for James Andrew White is my g-grandfather. This document states he enlisted Nov 23, 1864 at Milton Fla in Co I, 6th Ala Cav Regt and continued until discharged at Milton Fla Feb 20, 1865. The Alabama Confederate Pension application filed in around 1904 states he enlisted Nov 23, 1863 at Camp Morgan, Fl and was discharged in April 1865 which is exactly 1 year earlier. Was Camp Morgan in Milton, Fl. I have been confused on this for a long time Could the 1907 info been given by someone other than James (maybe his wife) and the dates are in error?
Thanks so much Alan for your help.
