Hmmm ...
I just realized that I have been claiming a status for James Monroe Cavender which he did not have, that is, prisoner of war.

He was more accurately a political prisoner, wasn't he?

I keep learning more about this bloodbath of brothers from knowledgable folks like you with every posting on this web site.

This is really a "must visit" site for we Arkansans who are looking for a Union or a Confederate relative lost in the prisons or on the battlefields of our own special, homemade, American hell.
