Re: Van Dorn- Army of the Southwest

If memory serves me right, in Dr Shea's book Van Dorn blamed everyone except himself for the loss at Pea Ridge. Also, if I remember correctly, Van Dorn had a numerical advantage over the Union troops. I am not a historian by any means, but it seems to me that Van Dorn was not capable commanding an entire army very well.
Just my thoughts.
