Tony, Thanks I'm also glad that others are starting to realize that from the moment that Samuel Curtis abandon Bateville and moved his army to Helena on July 12th, 1862, the operations in Eastern and Southeast Arkansas became part of the Vicksburg Campaign. I hope that by reading these posting that someone with the ability to write books would become interested in looking at this phase of Arkansas History.

I have been researching this for over 10 years in reconstructing Camp White Sulphur Springs and the hospital cemetery at Pine Bluff, and am constantly amazed at what I've have found in Primary sources once you are aware of this and what is Not in Print in secondary sources.
