Yes but all 3 color companies of that brigade were together in the swale. THere is no way to tell for sure. When the 33rd et al withdrew they were not being pressed by counter attack. However, there were some troops that entered later and actually crossed the field that were pressed back and I believe it was Gause's brigade. However, once again there is no way with any certainty to pin the unit on the flag. While we all would like for it to be our favorite regiment etc, all we can claim with any certainty is it is an Ark regiment. I feel that the issue was a fairly new one possibly just prior to the campaign since there were no battle honors such as Prairie Grove, Helena or part of Little Rock campaign. I like to think it represents all 9 regiments who served there.
