Jeremiah Earnest and co-defendant Thomas J. Miller were found guilty of murder in March 1864. Miller was executed immediately, but Earnest was not executed until November 1864. I haven't found any record of where either man was interred.

I recall reading a detailed account of Jeremiah Earnest's trial in the Arkansas Historical Quarterly several years ago. The title of the article was "The Home Guard in Southwest Arkansas," or something like that. I can't remember the name of the author, or the date of article.
