I am surprised we have as many records as we do, considering the number of regiment and company records that had to have been lost when they where overran. Plus alot of the record keepers ie Co. commanders, 1st Sgts/Orderly Sgts and adjuants who where lost ie KIA, POW, wounded, etc. Just my 2 cents worth.
