David,

I will attempt to answer your inquiry of the Marmaduke-Walker duel location. I was raised up in upper North Little Rock and I have studied extensively on and off sight of many important locations involving the Battle of Little Rock. According to all I have read and what I have observed it appears that the duel location is approx. 8 miles from downtown Little Rock which would put the sight somewhere in the vicinity of just east of I-430. The land between Hwy. 165 and the river is where several plantations existed. No one can find see to find the exact spot but I've narrowed it down to most likely within 1/2 mile west of I-430. I read somewhere that a marker has been placed or will be placed in the general area but like most of the civil war signs it will probably say, "near here".
