I'm not ruling that out. If I was a betting man I would go with your Dad. The area of Atkins St. and Broadway was known for several cotton plantations and it makes sense to me. I've often wondered why the generals would go way out on Hwy. 161 so near to where the Yanks were for a duel. Thanks for the info. I'll do some checking on that sign shortly.
