The actual site of the duel,as far as is practicable,appears to have been very nearly precisely located by the authors of the book,"The Division.Defending Little Rock.Aug.25-Sep.10,1863." by Buford and McBride. You father was correct in that it is now the Plantation Trailor Park formerly the Gordon Lefevre Plantation.The old house,precisely located at 4401 E.Broadway was torn down in 1966. The site of the duel,the authors say,would have been 100 to 200 yards east of the old house.They give other indications of the actualy dueling site.

Of futher interest and of course assuming that present inprovements and luck would permit,it would not be impossible to locate the actual spot where General Walker fell.With the aid of a good Garrett metal detector perhaps that 36 caliber ball may still be recovered. Walker's pistol discharged as he fell to the ground.
