Its a funny thing you should mention "The Division". I bought the book some years back and found it very imformative but the footnotes are a pain. However, If you recall the part where General Walker had his headquarters on the old Jacksonville Highway about 3/4 of a mile west of Reed's Bridge. The house sat upon a hill with large oak trees along the road. (which there are large oak trees still present) Well I found the hill and a house sits upon it but I'm sure its not the original house. To get to my point, across the highway is a rock house with a large field. The field was a Confederate camp ground. I ventured up to the rock house and met the resident, I believe his name was Smith. He was quite up in age and used to be the Commander of the Arkansas National Guard appointed by then Gov. Faubus. He told me that as his sons were growing up decades ago in the rock house and that they used to bring him old military buttons and other items found near his house. I then told him about "The Division" and he became very interested and wanted to get the book. Out of generosity I loaned him my book. That unfortunately was a big mistake. I gave him about six months to read the book and then I went by his house. I noticed that the Cadillac he owned was replaced by a run down Trans Am. I inquired about General Smith and found out that he died not too long after I loaned him the book and that no one knew about the book. And on top of that, they were not to inclined to let folks metal detect or explore the area. So I learned a valuable lesson there. Thanks for the info. on the duel.
