Its a fascinating book Clay.Ive never seen one quite written like that.Much detailed information on the daily and even hourly troop dispositions during that period etc ...My main interest was the participation of Alf Johnson's Texas Spy Company.Certainly a side show to the big show.You are fortunate to live in an area of much dramatic War for Southern Independence history.Try and find another copy of the book if you can. There are further detailed descriptions of the duel site.Perhaps the manager at the Plantation Trailer Park will let you poke around.

Its interesting that the fight at Reed's Bridge culminated in the shoot out between Marmaduke and Walker. I would perhaps speculate that Price's Dueling Brigadier Generals had considerable influence on the loss of the city. It was certainly a "Division" in the top command at the time.
