The Arkansas in the Civil War Message Board

Re: Question for Bryan Howerton

I'm covered up with some other research, but I took a couple of hours last night to poke around a little, and I'm beginning to doubt that the B. F. Lowe buried in Parker County, Texas, and pictured in the photograph, is the same B. F. Lowe of the 3rd Arkansas Infantry. To begin with, a genealogy site I looked at states that the Parker County man emigrated to Texas from Tennessee, not Arkansas, after the war. Also, the Parker County man died in 1891, but the Texas Pension Commission inquiry confirming B. F. Lowe's service in the 3rd Arkansas was dated in 1915.
