Re: Question for Bryan Howerton

I've been doing some digging, as well, Bryan, and I concur. The B.F. Lowe buried in Parker County, TX, appears in the 1860 census for District 6, Decatur County, TN. He married 03 Jul 1862 in Decatur County to Mary Adelaide Connell, and their first two children were born in Decatur County, one in 1863 and the other in 1865. This is supported by subsequent census records. His third child, James F., was born 06 Nov 1867 in Granby, Newton County, MO. They next appear in the 1870 census for Precinct 2, Grayson County, TX, with an additional child, Mary A., born 11 Jan 1870 in TX. All of this seems to support that the B.F. Lowe in question was not the soldier in the 3rd AR.
