Lots of mysteries came out of the Civil War for sure.
This lady and I have already been in touch and yet we have not found a way that my Walter D. Bayne who was
actually born in Virginia in Nov. of 1812, raised in Kentucky, and later lived in Shelby County prior to coming on
to central Arkansas ties to these men, but I bet he does.
It was also common knowledge, among my ancestors who were his descendants, that Walter D. Bayne and his young family
had gone to Kentucky during the Civil War years, returning only after the war ended. Then in 1869, they moved into Arkansas.
