Mr. .44 Henry,

OK, I have a few questions.

What Federal unit(s) had Henry repeating rifles during the Battle of Resaca, Georgia in May 1864? What I am looking for is a cited source.

Were not these weapons privately purchased?

If a weapon was privately purchased by an individual, who was responsible to supply the ammunition?

I am not affiliated with re-enacting so my questions are from the historically accurate perspective.
