Rotherwood is an estate at Kingsport, tenn., which still exists as a tourist attraction. It was built by Fred Ross who was an admirer of Sir Walter Scott and his novel. I think Rotherwood is a fictious site in the nove, Waverly. Anyway, I have evidence that there was an iron works in existence at Ross' place in 1798, and it was called Ross Iron Works. Does that change any of your thinking? Ear
