I grew up in Mississippi and Tennessee, primarily Memphis. My family is all from Oklahoma and Texas. So, I got a foot in two camps of the most famous barbecue areas. I would think NC and Kansas City are the others.
I have to say, I'm partial to "pulled pork" and a dry rub rib. I can appreciate Texas (Southwest) barbecue, but "real" barbecue to me is Memphis-Style.
