Looking at the Soldiers and Sailors System I find John B. Everett Sergeant Company C, 26th Georgia Infantry also spelled John B. Everitt. ( Same man ).

Also, I see John B. Everett Private Company I, 6th Georgia Infantry.

On your records would you look again to see if your man is in the 26th or the 6th GA. Inf.
