Neal,

Thanks for replying. I definitely know John Barrett Everett of Twiggs County, 26th Ga Co I, is my gg-grandfather. My ggg-grandfather, John Everett, Sr., came to Twiggs County in 1824 from Edgecombe County NC, after his father, Keton Everett / Everitt passed away in 1923.

I'm looking for the history of the 26th Ga, Co I. I have the regimental roster and conflict list from Ancestry.com, but am looking for a more narrative type of history if such exists. A gentleman from Co. H wrote a history shortly after the War Between the State, and I've been using that, but not all Companies were with the Regiment at all times, and I can't take for granted that Co. I was always with Co. H.

Regards,
JP
