The battle of the Crater was fought in the Petersburg defenses.Henderson's "Roster of the Confederate Soldiers of Georgia, 1861-1865" is the source, but there appears to be an error, as in looking at the battles of these men, it definitely was an Army of Northern Virginia unit. The Army of Tenn. also did nor fight at Petersburg,or other battles of the 6th (Malvern Hill, Sharpsburg, etc). Must be a typo.
