I did not intend to make such a generalization, but was thinking of the boy in the story I referred to, as well as the ages of my great grandfather and myself when we each enlisted in our respective service. Being a lawyer, I am usually more specific.
I also thank you for the information and references regarding the Sixth Georgia Cavalry. I would guess that some of the references may be at the L.S.U. library here in Baton Rouge.
