Dana, thanks very much for sharing. The part about the whole company talking at once about peace is especially interesting since Patrick Henry Stovall and my gg-grandfather, Samuel L. Pittard, and his brother, Thomas, were all from Bartow County, served in the same Co. I of the 40th Georgia, and were at Vicksburg together.
