Re: GBSHHA - 40th, 41st, 42nd, 43rd & 52nd Ga. Vol

James,

At present, I don't know of any books written specifically about the 52nd Georgia Infantry. Gary Goodson's works, the Georgia Confederate 7,000 book series, probably has the most detailed history on the 52nd Georgia to date. As you probably know, Gary's books cover the history of the entire brigade in addition to the 52nd. Also there are some other books and articles that pertain to the 52nd. They are listed as follows:

Bogle, Joseph. Historical Sketches of Barton's (Later Stovall's) Brigade, Army of Tennessee, C.S.A. Dayton, OH: Morningside, 1984. 108 p. E559.4B3H57.1984.

Reprint of 1900 ed

(Note: The above listed book is no longer in print by Morningside Books. I checked on it recently. Eastern Digital Resources will probably reprint it later this year.)

Kinsland, William S.: "A Band of Brothers: The Men and Legend of the 52nd Georgia Regiment". North Georgia Journal, Summer 1985: Pages 9-27 and Fall 1985: Pages 18-39.
