Mr. Martin.,
Thanks for the link, I found out that UGA library has this book I work near Athens and can view it there.

I have a copy of the booklet, acquired years ago, and a note from John Mainor, who saw to its reprinting. John writes that it was originally published in 1910 and came to him through his mother's family. Elijah Henry Sutton of Company K, 24th Georgia Infantry, was his great-grandfather. It's a very interesting account, including a detailed description of the prison camp at Point Lookout and a school/library started there for the prisoners by a fellow inmate, Alonzo Morgan of Sumter, South Carolina. A roster of the company is included.

Mr. Elmore,
You mention a reprint, When was this done and who published it? You call it a booklet, is it a short book that could be easily copied? My Great Grandfather was in Co. C of 24th Ga I want to read the book for more insight into the 24th before Gettysburg. It is my understanding that Mr. Sutton was captured there.

Thanks for your help

Marvin Poe
