Thanks, Alan. From what you and George have uncovered, I agree. So far nothing official in nature gives evidence that Seldon was with his outfit, and now the fact there was no "combat " involving his unit on the 18th.... His sister had changed hher middle name to Seldon by 1866, so I believe he died or was killed, but how or when , I don't know. I will keep looking.
