Walthall county was once part of Marion county. As I said I believe the area is called Sandy Hook, just not exactly sure.

How i8n the world some of these folks get the stones mixed up for a grave, I'll never know. It clearly says "in memory of"

You are correct about the Find a grave website. I have sent the contributor of the R. B. Pittman site a message requesting proof that R. B. Pittman was buried in a national cemetery. I also sent them info sent to me by Ron Skellie historian for the 7th Miss. Inf. To date I have received no reply. I have talked to Lee White, who at one time was a park ranger at Chickamauga, he tells me to the best of their knowledge all bodies, Union and Confederate, were removed from the battlefield.
