Mostly what you will see is the state historical markers for these sites. You can also see the land that these soldiers traversed. Don't through your ancestors out of the mix just because they were from Texas; there were Texas soldiers involved in the first three battles of the fall & winter of 1861. There were also Texasns involved in many of the other battles in the Indian Nations.
