While searching the BLM survey maps I found Scales Store. It is in Hughes County, T5N,R9E,Sec 5.
In capital letters there is the name LEADER and below that Scales Store. Off to the right it shows a school house in the same section.
To the west it shows Arbeca Branch in section 6 and 7.
Could this have something to do with Scalesville?
