Thanks for the information George. This is a mystery that a 23 year old Morgan county man would not be serving on one side or another. Perhaps records were lost. Another possibility is giving his conflicting familial and political ties, he just laid low - if that were possible. I will try and assign the names you provided to those in my data base. Any detail with regard to enlistment age and location for these men would be very helpful.
