Doug, Yes, they were from Flat Gap. I have just recently begun research on the Civil War aspect of not only these Estep's, but their many cousins in Boone and Kanawha Counties, West Virginia. It is all very interesting seeing how everything ties together and what a disruptive period this was for our relatives.
