Re: Miles Legion &Wirt Adams Brigade

Rick Andrews. Thank you very much. This is more info on the 14th Than I have been able to find on my own. Since my Great Grandfather, Joseph (J.A.C.) Pino was killed on 6 0r 7 Dec 1863
while with BG Wirt Adams brigade as a member of Co A Miles Legion apparently part of the 14th Cav Regiment at Ellis Cliffs as stated in the report. I feel confident in that information. The Diocese of Baton Rouge records clearly state that GGF died 6 Dec 1863 in MIssissippi. I am surprised that no specific mention of Company "A" Miles Legion was not mentioned in the report. Dr. Bergeron's book has stated the Co "A" never accepted assignment to other senior organizations, strange but true. I certainly appreciate your concern and help. Thanks again. P.S. N ow I can start the search for where he is buried.
