There are some significant shortcomings in the map showing the positions of the different brigades of Edward Johnson's division. For one thing the regiments are all shown to be about the same size, which is far from the reality. My own calculations indicate that the 1st Maryland Battalion was most likely to have passed directly around the Daniel Lady buildings in the general advance on the evening of July 2. Tom
